IEA World Energy Outlook 2025.
A bigger student voice.
These problems aren’t impossible to solve. Ambitious students have the capacity to meaningfully contribute to the energy issues facing the world.
UCDSE will give students a voice on the topics of the renewable transition and the grid that will carry that power.
The International Floating Wind Challenge.
The first initiative.
A small competitive team. We design and build a floating wind structure, then take it to the water.

This is where it starts.
There will be more events and hackathons, bringing together people from all different courses who have something to say.
The work needs more than engineers.
It also needs economics, policy, design, computing, law, and anyone else ready to take part in tackling the problems we face in the energy sector. UCDSE is being made to hold that mix.
There is a lot more to come.
